Complaints Procedure
Under Section 29 of the Education Act 2002, all maintained schools are required to have and publicise a procedure for dealing with complaints relating to the school and any community facilities or services it provides.
Guidance from the Department for Education (Best practice guidance for school complaints procedures, 2019) makes clear that procedures should be accessible, fair and open to anyone wishing to raise a concern or complaint—not limited to parents or carers.
At Lindhead, we are committed to resolving concerns as quickly and informally as possible, wherever appropriate. Most issues can be addressed at an early stage through discussion with staff. However, where this is not possible, or where the nature of the issue requires it, our formal complaints procedure should be followed.
Our aim is to ensure that all concerns and complaints are handled fairly, proportionately and in a timely manner, with due regard to confidentiality and sensitivity.
A full copy of our complaints procedure is available below. Please contact the school if you require any further information.
