Lindhead School Policies & Curriculum Documents
One of our aims at Lindhead School is to prepare children for an appreciation of life in modern Britain. We do this through both our curricular and extra curricular provision and it is a significant part of life at Lindhead School.
Policies and other documents that you might be interested to read are listed below including our Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Policy (SEND) and the SEND Information Report (click on each document to download)
Curriculum Planning this year (2019/20) is Year B - see curriculum plans below. Please note these are subject to change.
Letters and Sounds is the main phonics scheme followed in EYFS and KS1. This is supplemented by Jolly Phonics in EYFS. A range of reading schemes are used and these include Pearson Bug Club, Collins Big Cats and many of the Oxford Reading Tree series. Books are divided into colour bands according to difficulty.
We have adopted 'Big Maths' as our lead scheme for mathematics.
We follow the DfE's Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (September 2014) and Early Years Outcomes (September 2013).
Additional information regarding the school and national curriculum is communicated through half termly topic notes (see classes section) and various workshops for parents. If you require any further information regarding the curriculum, please make an appointment through the school office.
We follow the National Primary Curriculum. You can find out more about this here:
